Another one caught fire? Dude.. does your PC have any cooling system? I don't know much about video cards but i know that this 512mb and 256mb is your video cards memory..(RAM)...

No,not in fire this one ,just stopped working . But have guaranty so new one ,get choose now , so they know they send defect card . well 3850 or 8600 or give some money with it to get a 3870 or 8800 ?

512 helps with higher resolutions but quite frankly unless you game on a resolution over 1280 x 1024 the difference wont be felt at all. As for choosing between the 3850 and 8600 simple the 3850 has a 30% average better performance then the 8600 it's actually the best bang for your buck card out at the moment. the 3870 on the other hand can't keep up with the 8800gt (approx 20% performance difference) but they arent in the same price category either. So it will be 3850 or 3870 ,then i have more money for a new game I read some reviews and 8800 is better but cost more. But i heard that they gone release a 8800 256mb card to at January ,maybe wait ? have a 128mb card now from store have to be able to play not . Addicted ;D

it looks good on the surface BUT, knology cant seem to keep their stuff running..... currently, i am experiencing a 15% error rate/packet loss rate on my first hop at a server in montgomery (15 miles from here).... so, it dont matter how fast if they loose 15%. i have called customer support and they are proud of my ping and keep telling me how fast i am. i keep pointing out to them that it does not matter if i am loosing packets at this rate. i went through the same thing with them last year before i upgraded my service with them to try to get away from the problem. at that time, they were having some "backbone" issues. it is probably time to try to find a new company
