I have a priahna GTI semi auto and fully auto by a push of a button. The gun is illegal in tourneys. I learned to play from one of my friends and his brother that were intermedite. he gave me one of his guns he won from a tournament and wants to sell me his autococker and his tank and everything else for $300. But I'm happy with my gun.

I like to paintball here in ohio quite a few places to go i just dont have much chance in the cold:( You mean you don't like being hit by a frozen paintball flying at 275fps? We have an indoor place near here that is fine if you get there early. The floor is a mess after a few hours of play. They use a carpet kind of like that green outdoor stuff, but after awhile it's like being in an ice rink.

I would like some advice from you paintball experts. I want to get a gun but I don't want to spend a lot of money (less than $200 for everything, including upgrades). I found a gun for $70 ( www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=1018963) that had pretty good reviews on pbreview.com ( www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/1082/) and is supposed to retail for $240. I would spend money for a barrel upgrade and an electronic hopper if I bought this gun. Are there any barrels or loaders that I should definitely get? Would this be a good gun to buy or would another gun such as a Tippmann 98 be better?

It will quiet down the marker, as well as produce a tighter pattern on your shots. Assuming the freebie regulator mentioned at PBreview is of halfway decent quality, you should not have problems with velocity fluctuations throughout the day. If you run CO2, you might want to look into an anti-siphon bottle, so you aren't dumping liquid CO2 into the regulator if you tip the marker down while playing. Not all regualtors handle liquid CO2 very vell. For the money seems like an OK deal.

You might want to check out ebay as well. I have boaught and sold a few markers there over the years without any problems. Some sellers offload entire setups(marker, tank, hopper and some even a few barrels) for about the same cash as what you looking at now. Back in the day Spyders weren't bad starters and they had a TON of accessories available for them. I had one and was pretty happy with it after a barrel upgrade and some homegrown trigger modifications.
Just an idea

Well paintball could be painful at times. i have been shot in the chest so close that the skin broke open to my chest and start bleeding. I didnt notice that it did untill someone told me. If you were just starting out playing paintball i would go with a tippmann paintball gun. There very reliable and easy to get parts for. Also on barrels, it all depends on what type of area your playing in. If your playing in the woods long range a longer barrell would be good but a short barrel would be better if you were on a smaller field. But some of the short barrells can have some good accuracy compare to the long barrells. I have a paranha pmi eforce2004 www.paintballfirst.com/item.asp?n=134130&d=202&b=1 in blue. with a electronice trigger that will shoot at 1,3 ,6, 9 rounds burts or if i wanted to be really mean i just go full auto on it. If your going to want a good type of googles go with a Jt google system. Thats my opinon on it. I also have a friend in missouri that has his own paintball store that he runs himself, and thats were i got my gun. My brother also hase the same bun but his is black and he is off to the marines for boot camp. He left last week. My grandpa was so upset when he left he started to cry. My grandmother said she has never seen him like that before.
