I don't have any amazing stories about God saving me from prison, drugs, or drinking. I was blessed to be one of fewer and fewer people born and raised in a Christian home with two parents whose love for each other was only surpassed by their love for the Lord. I received Christ as my personal saviour on October 16, 1994. In my life, I was talking the talk, and "walking the walk" as far as anyone else could see, but I was floundering in the temptations and pits of corruption so common in this world. In April of 2006, my father was diagnosed with Bronchitis and went in for CT scan. They then found out that it was in fact a tumor, attatched to one of his lungs. He had surgery for it mid May and when they went in, expecting a golfball sized Benign tumor, they came out with a football sized malignant one. Due to complications in surgery, he was never able to awoken beyond a drug induced stupor, and God took him home on May 31 of 2006. I often cried out to God asking why?? I am the only man left in my family, and being so can definetely be a lonely position. But since that rough time 11 months, God has done more work in my life than in my previous 18 years of existence. While I miss my father, I am also very happy for him, cause he no longer has to live in this sin infected world, so to all, If you ever have lost one you love, it is a great testimony to be able to say that I get to see mine again.
