The following announcement has been posted on {AOG} - Army Op Girlz: PB Exploit on Non-SCI Servers From AAO Tracker's news page and evenbalance.com: Players need to be aware of the existence of a new exploit on non-SCI servers that has appeared with the newly released v2.2 AA patch. Using new undocumented PB server commands in combination with PB screenshots, a malicious Admin can in unlikely circumstances capture in a PB screenshot the player's AA account password stored in user.ini (the "Remember Username/Password" box on the "Personnel Jacket" screen controls whether or not the password is stored in that file). This does not affect official servers nor other servers leased from SCI. When playing on servers hosted elsewhere, players should leave the server immediately if the user password appears on the screen during gameplay. This will prevent any requested screenshots from transferring to the malicious admin. Please report to us at support@evenbalance.com the IP address of any servers that are trying to make use of this exploit by displaying your password on your playing screen during gameplay. Only this -- it is only a problem on non-SCI servers -- so it is safe to play on our #1 & #2 servers, and on any official or leased official server. I recommend that you do NOT play on servers other than that, unless you know and explicitly trust the server operator. If you still have 2.1 installed, you can also play on any servers that are still running 2.1 (the Linux version of 2.2 has not been released, so many private servers are still on 2.1). Even Balance Inc. is aware of the issue (the quote that Law posted above is originally from their site at www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=support-aa.php), and they are working on a fix for it. I'll keep you posted if I find out anything more about it.
