can anyone help me out? Well i met this girl last year. and we have been friends since. But i cant figure out how to get her to... like me. I asked her out before, but she said no. and i REALLY care about her and id guess you could say i love her. I have a need to be with her and i cant get rid of it. I thought i was over her, and i suddenly started to like her again. We dident talk for a little while, about a month, due to classes. i cant figure out this feeling and why i have it. Any bible references or your personal support would help, thanks.

Take it from an experienced man. If you don't click to begin with, it's pretty much not worth pursuing. If she doesn't make time out of her schedule to contact you, she's not interested. If she never contacts you out of the blue via text or IM or phone, she's not interested. If she doesn't talk about you to her friends, she's not interested. Get the picture? The feeling you have is called "attraction." It's there for a reason, but in civilized society, it doesn't really work out as well as we'd all like it to. Take it from me, just drop it and walk away. If she becomes interested later, she'll contact you.

Enjoy your singleness. A large cause of marital problems is rushing into relationships based on feelings. Contrary to what most people think, Love is an action, not a feeling. The feeling that most people think is Love is actually called infatuation. And it tends to disappear after about a year to 2 years.
Other huge issues with Christian guys looking to date is that you need someone to hold you accountable. Otherwise we tend to think with a part of our body other than our heart. This scenario can quickly lead into several forms of sin. Thus a TRUE accountability partner that isn't afraid to ask you "Are you staying honorable towards this woman?" is absolutely essential.
Other factors that I've found to be extremely important 1) You both are Born Again. I'm not talking just speaking it. I'm saying Living it... This means that both of you are constantly meeting in Church because you are there every time the doors are open. 2) You both believe the same things. (Same style of Worship, Same belief on the works of the Holy Spirit, etc...)
Also... I agree with the previous comment... Don't "chase" her... You will find your True wife (the one God picked for you) just by following God and trying to grow in your relationship with him...
(A little background info - I've made more mistakes than I care to admit in dating. I really don't want anyone else to have to learn the hard way like I did... I am happily married now with 4 wonderful Blessings)
