Hilarious! Thanks for sharing this, Brian!
As an extended sidenote
, I think they stole
the name "Long Jon Arbuckle" from an episode of
Garfield & Friends ... to be precise, Season 2/Episode 68 (a.k.a. Volume 2/Disc 2/Episode 36 in the DVD collection), which was entitled "The Legend of Long Jon" ;D. In that episode, the original "Long Jon Arbuckle" (an ancestor of Garfield's owner, Jon Arbuckle) was originally deemed a traitor for plundering the American warship
Endeavor during the American Revolution; however, through Odie's drool and Garfield's knowledge of what was important to Long Jon's cat
, the folks in Long Jon's hometown finally found out the truth -- that Long Jon was really a spy working for General Washington, taking back the
Endeavor from the British forces that had captured it and were sailing it disguised as American sailors.
(Okay, that's probably a bit more information that you needed to know
... makes ya wonder about the kind of twisted mind that stores such obscure information, doesn't it?
)
But again, thanks for sharing that video -- it was all I could do to keep from waking up Princess and the Peacelings with my laughter, especially on "Amazing Grace (Caribbean Version)" at 3:45-4:06 in the video.
;D
