k,
about a month ago my motherboard fried. I just got the replacement about 3 days ago, and it went in fine, thats great.
Now, when I rebooted my computer it gave me a problem of "access denied to desktop". I couldn't really find a way to fix it, so I made a new account, transfered all of my documents (pictures, videos, downloads, etc) to the new account, and deleted the old one.
Now, a few of my applications were not on the "my programs" list, including things like vent, AA, ASE, etc. I went to the "add/remove programs" thing in control panel, and specifically was looking for AA. It wasn't on the list. I then went to the program files, and all of my AA documents were in there. In fact, I could still run AA from that directory, but it just wouldn't show up anywhere else. I then went to a program I use called "Speedupmypc" (by Uniblue) and it did infact have AA listed on the list of programs I could uninstall. I *think* but cannot remember for sure if I tried to uninstall it using that.
I then made what I think was a really stupid decision. I decided that since basically nowhere on my computer was it reading AA, I would just delete the program-files and install fresh. So, I did that... and then when I went to install it again, it said that I already had another version installed. I have looked ALL over my computer for any documents related to Armyops, America's Army, etc... but I can't find anything. I'm kindof thinking the only way I'm going to resolve this is if I reformat; but... I'm not ready to do that yet.
If you all could offer me any suggestions... I would really appreciate them. YES, I did empty my recycle bin, I can't just undelete them. My dad thinks it might be something in my registry, but I don't know anything about that. Thanks...
