Greetings everyone. Just thought I'd reveal a little about this "George" fella that keeps lurking around the threads.

Princess invited me to take a look at your little nook in cyberspace awhile back. The link didn't work for me at the time. She later fixed the link but I had been busier than a one arm man in a wallpaper hanging contest. But better late than never; and I'm glad I did check it out. Seems like some pretty cool folks in the Lord around here; my kind of people.

As for who I am: I'm a 48 year old oilfield worker. I work on an offshore drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico as a maintenance supervisor. I've been married to my best friend and lover for 28 years (the 12th of August) and we're still on our honeymoon. We have 3 grown daughters and 7 grandkids. (Christmas and birthdays is getting expensive).

I am also a singer/songwriter/musician as well as the worship leader in our church. I write short stories and I'm also working on a novel.

I was into online gaming for awhile with Delta Force TFD. I stopped for two reasons: The first was that I was spending too much time doing it and two; I have a bummer dial-up connection. My ping times can be measured with a sun dial. Which made online gaming frustrating with lag and CI's. Plus I work offshore 14 days and then I'm home working another business the other 14 days along with leading worship at church. This means I have brief moments of pit stops.

And that's the long and short of George.

Yes, we are close. My brother Brian(Meekness-=Of-God=-), lives across the river from Morgan City, LA. I used to live there with him a while back. At that time we both used to drive hot shot for Ace Transportation, delivering supplies and crew members(somtimes) to shore bases along the entire oil related gulf coast(from Theodore, AL to Brownsville, TX). Who knows, maybe we could meet up sometime. That would be great. God bless you George!
