My name is svd_CommandoDelta, and I am an avid, yet new AA player. I become a christian a few years ago, and now participate in christian speech and debate, attend bibile study's, help out in our church and worship team, and strive to further God's plan for my life as best my feeble striving's can. I live in Indiana, just outside of Indianapolis, and am a Homeschooler. (I have been homeschooled all my life).
Intrests: **wow, that's a hard one...I have so many** 1) I love history, mainly ancient 2) I write books, and am currently working on 4 3) Art is one of my passions 4) I read ALOT 5) I love movies and movie trivia 6) AMERICA'S ARMY!!!!!
PS: If you wish to know more about me, please send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you. *grin*
PSS: Oh, and another important fact....I'm a girl

Welcome to our forum, from a fellow homeschooler! My entire high school career was spent at home, and my three kids have been homeschooled all their lives so far as well, so I'm familiar with both ends of it (being schooled and schooling! ). My mother just got the last of us off to college this year, ending a 24-year consecutive streak of homeschooling . You'll find a lot of other homeschoolers here also! From your description of yourself and your interests, it sounds to me like you have quite a bit in common with Singer-=Of-God=-, one of our veteran members -- are you sure you and she aren't twins? Anyway, have a good time looking around the forum and getting involved here and on our game servers, and if you have any questions or need any assistance, my PM box is always open. ~ Peace

I love ancient history too especially mesoamerica (olmecs!) That's really cool, fiction? You need to give public a try at least 1 year imho. Its eye opening in so many ways

I focus on the areas of the Gauls, Celts, Picts, Saxons, and the mediterranian/fertile crecent/middle east.....But the Olmecs, the little I've studdies were cool.
And I really think that I will get enough of the 'public' aspect when I go to college, but I understand the point of view. Many people have said so.
On the note of my stories, They are all Christian fantasy. One is about different clans (human and other) that follow Elohim, and a great evil, a demon inhabited creature who infiltrates their communities and incites distrust, betrayal, and eventually war....It is based off of my artclass's project (art/story) Another book is about twins separated at birth that are to fulfill a prophesy. One of the twins is paired with a royal child and called the prophesy's twins in a dying queen's last attempt to give her people hope. Their father goes mad, persectutes christians, and enstrages his children, and it goes through adventure, betrayal, battles, etc...
The other two are in a series where an unbelieving doctor has gone through school, worked in hostpitals, and is now working on herbal remedies based off of native american medicinal cures. She is then lost in a forest, falls into an underground cavern and is knocked out. She see's a light just before she becomes unconcious, and is told by a celestial being that she has been preparing to fulfill the purpose her creator has set for her. To save a people, end a war, and restore peace. She is then transported back in time to another dimension. a mythical version of the middle ages. the first book follows her and her adventures, and eventual completion of her main mission while the second focuses on a child that is also transported back in time and becomes her apprentice.

Greetings and welcome to the Forums-=Of-God=- ! I like what I have been seeing so far and hope that you will wander over to the recruitment aspiration section and post an aspiration thread. Sounds like you would fit right in with us. Once you have posted a request to join us, I, or one of the recruitment staff, will give you some information that will get the ball rolling on your recruitment status. Again, welcome to our forums. And yes, as Peace stated earlier, you do sound a lot like our Brittany Rae(Singer-=Of-God=-). God bless and hope to see more of you around the forums and on our server(s)! Bro Jeff a.k.a. Alright! Well, I guess that I will go over to the recruitment station! I would very much like to join the clan. ;D I love it that there is a place for home schoolers and Christians to go for true fellowship. In Christ, Rachel Hitchings, aka svd_CommandoDelta

I agree with Madcow, I thank God everyday that my mother decided to put me in public school instead of homeschooling me. As am I. I suppose homeschool would have been a much cleaner environment, but public high school really toughened me up as a person; something that I wouldn't be able to get in a homeschooled environment...

Well I don't know about that, homeschooling doesnt make someone "weak", but in most cases it makes you unable to fully handle social situations. Some homeschoolers are lucky and had an enviroment that allowed them to become well rounded individuals. A lot of people however, are not so lucky. Of course, this is totally off topic and does not need to continue like this Anyway, welcome Rachel!

FYI: Darko, your comments are completely unfounded and probably very offensive to many of the homeschoolers here (myself included). If you must make comments about such things, please don't make them baseless sweeping generalizations or reasonless assaults. Back on topic, it's great to have you, Rachel, it is nice to see another homeschooler and a girl wanting to join the clan too (we're always short on them ).

Meh, as a homeschooler myself, I would have to add a +1 to that... ------ Welcome to the forum, Rachel! You'll have a lot of fun over here. I used to be in the -=Of-God=- clan and play AA, but it got so addicting to where I played everyday, I decided to stop -- however that doesn't keep me from participating in the Bible studies and hanging out on the forum! ;D By the way, what kinds of books do you read? -Tim

Well, thanks all for the greeting! and in response to the question of what I read, I absolutely ADORE fantasy, especially if they are Christian. I am also a great fan of Historical Fiction. My favorite authors are Tamora Pierce (thought she's crossed the line a little to far in her book the Will of the Empress.....*shakes head sadly*), I like the Emerald Rose series (Linda Wichman), ...oh, and Ursula K. Leguin's books, etc... (I also do Harry Potter, my favorites being The Goblet of Fire and the Order of the Phoenix...thought my favorite of the movies is the first and second...They messed up the others with Michael Gambon as Dumbledore, and a new director and screenwriting team....They should be ashamed) ANYHOO....... I'll answer the questions and statements about Homeschooling...I've had many friends be home schooled through Jr. High, and then enter a public High school, and their still going strong, through they have changed...but I feel so much closer to my family with Home schooler, which is statistically proven to provide broader horizons....Did you guys hear about the High school Home schoolers who debated the Oxford College students? The Home schoolers blew them out of the water, and gracefully too! Goes to show you what all we can do! *laugh* -CDelta
