I have wide ranging tastes. I mostly listen to Metal/Heavy Metal and even some Christian Death Metal. But, sometimes I'll have a craving for some neo-classical blues [The Decemberists (awesome band)] or I may want some classical (Pachebel, Mozart, etc.) and even some Emo [Alesana (local band from Raliegh)].

I listen to Mark Shultz, Avalon, Rebecca St. James, Casting Crowns, and Michael W. Smith. So that would probably be Contemporary Christian.
[Edit: I also listen to Selah, sometimes]

I find myself drawn more toward "worship music", but recognize that this is really just a subset that includes all music, from any of the above styles, that exalts God. My vote above went to CCM, but I do prefer the artists that focus more on worshipful music (Casting Crowns, SonicFlood, PC&D, Newsboys [the latest couple of albums in particular], Rich Mullins, MWSmitty [in his early years, and the 2001-2003 period], Todd Agnew, Mercy Me, Chris Rice, Lenny LeBlanc) over artists who for the most part focus on "touchy-feely" emotional songs with little doctrinal or worshipful content (MWSmitty [in his "sing whatever it takes to achieve crossover into other music categories" years], Avalon, and almost every female soloist out there [stereotyping, I know, but that broad brush does fit most of them, if you take the time to analyze their lyrics]). [NOTE: I don't mean to offend anyone that likes any of the ones in that last group ... just stating "my opinion". ] Of course, my #1 favorite artist ... (like I really have to say it for anyone who's been here a while ) ... is Steven Curtis Chapman.

I listen to Rebecca St. JamesSo that would probably be Contemporary Christian. Saw her last saturday at the EO Youth Day, she can sing pretty good. Even that it isn't the music I really like, she was pretty cool.

It just so happens to have the following quote from SCC (as I recall, it's from the comments on the inner jacket of his Declaration CD):
