I never really enjoyed their "They're only Chasing Safety" but "Define the Great Line" is a pretty good cd as well as the occasional listen I give to their first on T&N. I tried their metal stuff but I wasn't awed.

underOATH is like just simply put; amazing. They are just absolutely awesome. The Changing of Times, They're Only Chasing Safety, and Define the Great Line are all absolutely sick albums, as is their REALLY old stuff (e.g. Act of Depression, and Cries of the Past etc.) and so are Dallas Taylor's band, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, and The Almost, Aaron Gillespie's new side project. Underoath in any form is totally sweet!

A true blessing. Every album is good in its own way. Much bigger fan of Spencer though I have to say. Seen them live now and wow..... Maylene is great too though. Just for information sakes, I am 32 now and still loving it.....
going to get to see The Almost in July at warp Tour in San Antonio

Underoath has some great music, instrumental wise, anyways. The only thing that I dislike about them is the fact that Spencer Chamberlain doesn't sing (at least as much as I think he should). Spence has a great voice, as is evidenced by the bits in songs like "Writing on the Walls" where he does sing, but he doesn't ever use it. I was rather disappointed when I first listened to that song because of that. Or maybe I'm just weird...
