Hey man...those are some good bands, but I wouldn't post those YouTube links due to the fact that the people who post on the videos make vulgar and obnoxious comments not suitable for these forums. Just a future reference: make sure if you post any outside links on these forums that they are as clean as our server and forums are.

Im a big fan of Demon Hunter, really gets the blood pumping
im not so fond of some of the others though, not from a spiritual standpoint (i never really looked into what their lyrics teach, so i cant say either way), i just dont like the screamo sound to much lol

Some of them I like more than others... Some of them you can really tell are Christian. (Demon Hunter, Sinai Beach, Disciple) I'm real coutions about my metal... Because theres a lot of subliminal stuff in it. I know what you mean Mike. I don't even check out a metal band unless they have been recommended by a brother in Christ.
Thanks Dream that is a good point. I'll just try and find the bands web site next time.

yeah, anytime i find a new band that i think i might like, i really go over their lyrics carefully, i wanna know what it is that im listening too. If your a Metal band that can really Rawk, but your lyrics are nothing but filth, i dont wanna listen to it. On the oter hand, if your music aint bad, and your message is one that id feel comfortable discussing in a church/youth group setting. then Preach it! (or rather sing it lol ) If you are using your music to Spread the Word, then im all for it, your particular style of music may not be my fav, but if your big enough for me to know about you, then you probably have a fan base that does.

To give you quite a few links of Christian Metal/Hardcore bands that are really Christian in their lyrics:
Of the Son (oftheson.com) Aletheian (for whom I don't listen to but my sister does) (http://www.myspace.com/aletheian) Crimson Moonlight (brutal death metal with Christian lyrics although you can't hear them lulz) (crimsonmoonlight.com/cm) Common Yet Forbidden (http://www.myspace.com/commonyetforbidden) AfterImage-afterimagemetal.com WARNING! THESE BANDS ARE NOT FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT LISTEN TO METAL AT ALL! Some are even too brutal for me (not really, I just don't like Aletheian)
Some other Christian bands that aren't as Christian/worship as these, but they definitely deserve a mention:
The Gentleman Homicide-http://www.purevolume.com/thegentlemanhomicidefans (not an official site, but lets you hear the music) Kingston Falls-http://www.purevolume.com/kingstonfalls The Blue Letter-theblueletter.com Life In Your Way-lifeinyourway.com Norma Jean-normajeannoise.com Kiss The Gunner-purevolume.com/kissthegunner
These bands aren't as brutal as the top ones, but they still rock! Check them out.
All pages from myspace have been checked for language. No links from the page have though so proceed at your own risk.
Enjoy if you look at them. Zimbardo

Do you have any recommendations for bands that actually sing, but have metal-influenced music? You know, Breaking Benjamin or Avenged Sevenfold-esque stuff?

Oh DUDE. Definetly Dead Poetic! They are awesome. They were one of the first christian metal bands i started listening too. There great. Some others are Destroy the Runner, Chasing Victory. They are great. "Saints" is an awesome song by Destroy the Runner.

Divinefire is pretty understandable except for like one snippet in one song, otherwise its very listenable.
got more of an 80's Metal/Medieval Sound than what most would say is "Metal" today
They're from Sweden or somewhere in Europe i think, not very big in US, but popular in EU and Japan.
(just realized they released a new album...im gonna have to look into that...)

Destroy the Runner is usually understandable. So is Chasing Victory. Chasing Victory has this cool Christian, Indie-Rock, Metal. Thing going on I like it a lot.

Okay. If I could, I'd give everyone here a big hug and cake in happiness for the knowledge of those Christrian Metal band links, since I've been having a hard time in finding any. I'm kinda annoyed that alot of bands have this thing with making their lyrics really bad and with bad moral instead of ones that, I personally if I could ever write songs, would make songs which perhaps start with life issues but with the song turning into a more positive good end result. I'm off to listen to all those bands. Always interested in music I am, like my music I does. Last I've been hearing is a good small-company made cd called "Those Were The Days" made by the St Petersburg Russia Vocal Ensemble which is a russian sacred & folk music and live cd. Bought it for £5 when I went to a highly fascinating place called Cheddar Caves & Gorge: www.cheddarcaves.co.uk/Just for anyone's curiosity, the songs on the cd are very very good and here's the list, some you may recognise, since they're kinda related: 1: O gladsome radiance 2: Blessed is the man 3: Cherubic song 4: Lord, now lettest thou 5: Under your favour 6: In a dark wood 7: Old drinking song (Daftest song here 8: Lonely bells jingling 9: Love song 10: Volga boatmen's song 11: Those were the days 12: On a hillock on a mountain 13: Auld Lang Syne (This one's a recognised song!) Umm... sorry, wen't off into my own little world there. But now, I'll go check out those band links.

Wow, someone else who listens to After The Tragedy. Interesting. And of course some of the bands I wouldn't call metal, they would fall under screamo (Dead Poetic, Chasing Victory, Underoath) or not even close (House of Heroes ) but some of those listed are metal. Yeah, if you ever want to talk about good Christian metal ask me some questions. I know a lot about it and I could probably find a way to get you to listen to their stuff.

Screamo over Metal anyday.
Give me underOATH, emery, anberlin, Maylene, Haste the day.
As I Lay Dying (the singer) is from my town. A guy I play in a band with was in a band with him before he left to do As I Lay Dying. I think he is the lead for Maylene now. Not sure.

Well Dead Poetic is the only band I would clasify as "Scremo" here. Everthing else mentioned besides rock would be metal.
As I Lay Dying is awesome! Check out the songs "Elegy" and "Collision".
