I am excited to introduce to you Pastor Boston Ngulube and his family. The -=Of-God=- clan will be sponsoring this family each month through Gospelink. Our sponsorship will allow Pastor Boston to work in the ministry of spreading the Gospel full time and I'm sure thousands will be reached for Jesus through his ministry.
Each month, Gospelink will draft $110 from a trust account set up for supporting this family. The donations to fund this project will come from members and/or friends of our clan. Donations will be collected through either of the red paypal buttons on the bottom of the forum main page or the account balance statement page, or by direct mail (please PM me for the address).
This is a step of faith; as of the time of this posting, there are only four donors. This project is important because it will be the only financial support Pastor and his family receive. Please consider making a monthly commitment of $5 or what ever you can afford. We have enough for a little over two month's support currently in the account. You can go here to see the latest account activity and current balance.
Gospelink will oversee correspondence, oversee accountability, and facilitate the funds reaching Pastor Boston (Gospelink uses only 20% of the monthly sponsorship amount to cover administration, accountability, and overhead expenses). The funds received by Brother Boston will be used to provide food, clothing, shelter, education, transportation, medicine, and other daily necessities for his family. Furthermore, some of the funds will be used to assist in village, urban, and youth evangelism, travel expenses, or to provide outreach materials such as equipment, Bibles, tracts, hymnals, visuals, curriculum, correspondence courses, etc. Funds will also be used to provide personal study materials and curriculum and help cover costs of regional and national training opportunities for Brother Boston. How can so much be done with so little money? Amazing isn't it? (Also note, for any funds sent to Pastor Boston over and above the monthly commitment amount, 100% of the money goes directly to Pastor Boston.)
Now, to see Pastor Boston's information packet and read his testimony go here and download the information.
I urge you to be involved with this project. You may not be able to give every month but you can pray every day. The paperwork I received with this packet said we will probably get our first quarterly report in late April or early May and every three months after that. Correspondence is done with the national pastors on a quarterly basis with his funds and correspondence from his supporters being sent out in March, June, September, and December. When he receives his funds he also receives his accountability paperwork which he completes and sends back to his sponsor. I am letting you know this to encourage you not to be discouraged with the amount of time it takes to communicate with Pastor Boston. Anyone interested in writing to Brother Boston can send an email to Missionary@of-God.us and I will print it out and forward it to Gospelink. When the quarterly reports come in, I'll place them in a new thread each time so that those interested can see the harvest their investment is making.
I hope to meet Pastor Boston in June 2007 when I go to Zambia so that I can bring back a better picture of him. I received 8 prayer cards and 8 bookmarks with pictures and information about Pastor Boston when we signed up. They are great reminders (to put on the refrigerator or something) to pray for this family. If you are interested in receiving one send me a pm and request one and give me the address you want it mailed to and I will send you one. First come, first served BUT, donors get theirs first because there are a limited number of cards.
If there are any further questions or you need any other information, send me a pm or post a question in this thread.
