Hello this is {CS}OnFire from Christian Soldiers Clan and i just have a question. We were just wondering how -=Of-God=- does their ranking system? {CS} does it in a military style system where the ranks range from Private [and Recruit] to General, but that is irrelevant. My question is what type of ranking system do you use? I'm asking this because {CS} is thinking about switching systems. Thanks for your time. Oh yeah, I've never really got to meet any of you [and our clans are even allies]. So I'm OnFire. You all should come visit the {CS} forums more often as we will come and visit yours more often too. I look forward to getting to know you guys better.

Nice to meet you, OnFire; if you need anything here, just let us know . Our basic ranking system is a bit different than most clans use; rather than being a strict "chain of command" type of ranking, it's more of just an indicator in the forum of how long someone has been a member. We do have actual "ranks" of membership that do indicate "chain of command" -- Clan Leader, Leadership Council, Server Admin, Veteran Member, Regular Member, New Member -- but our insignia ranking system in the forum is somewhat different than that. Here's a rough breakdown: * New Members (first two weeks): Private * Regular Members (two weeks to roughly 6 months): Private First Class * Veteran Members/Server Admins (over 6 months): starts at Corporal; moves up one rank every 3 months, to maximum rank of Colonel at 57 months of membership (and yes, we do have one member who has reached that rank ) * Clan Recruitment Assistants: Sergeant Major of the Army (no promotion available) * Leadership Council: starts at Brigadier General (1 star); moves up one rank every 6 months, to maximum rank of General (4 stars) at 24 months of membership * Clan Leader: General of the Army (no promotion available) Again, this ranking system is primarily an indicator in the forum of how long the member has been with us, or of what additional role the member plays in the clan (for the recruiting staff / LC / CL). It does not carry through to our screennames, as most other clans that use ranking systems do; our in-game names do not reflect these "ranks". Hope that helps you folks out. Oh, and don't forget ... if you'd like "Allied Clan" status here, send Gen.Drop-Forged a PM at the {CS} forum, including your username here, and ask him to send me a PM here to confirm your {CS} membership ... once I get that, I'll change your status here, giving you access to more of our forum and to our Ventrilo server. Hope to hear back from you soon! ~ Jeff / Peace-=Of-God=-

Yep, welcome to "Allied Clan" status. Don't forget to stop by the "Ventrilo Server and Game Server Monitors" board to set up your Ventrilo client with access to our server.

I saw that you guys use vent version 3.0.0. {CS} uses vent version 3.0.1.
Will i need to download 3.0.0 again to have access to your vent server?

According to my information (from our server control panel), our Ventrilo server is running v3.0.2 (which is the current Ventrilo server release), not v3.0.0. The current Ventrilo client release is v3.0.1, so you should be able to connect to our server with a v3.0.1 client.
