Found this somewhere ,could be usefull for some .
1)Use headphones rather than speakers
Sounds are a MUCH bigger element in this game than most. The difference between headphones and computer speakers is phenomenal with this game. Sound detail is huge. With headphones, you can hear an enemy walking around in the next building - with regular PC speakers, you may not even hear an enemy walking right behind you.
Get in the habit of listening for doors, footsteps, gun reloading. Learn the sounds of footsteps on different surfaces, such as concrete, metal, and carpeting. If you hear Russian words, that is the enemy talking to eachother nearby. Your commands to teammates will be translated in to Russian for the other team as well - this keeps the "us vs. them" atmosphere intact. You can use these clues to pinpoint an enemy location even though you can't see the enemy.
2)Learn to be silent and sneaky!
Because good players use headphones, you have to learn how to move around silently. Good players can pinpoint your location on footsteps, door sounds, and weapon reloading. Toggle your movement speed to WALK instead of RUN to make your footfalls much quieter - especially on metal stairs. When opening doors with walk activated, this action is much quieter and slower. Heal teammates with walk activated to whisper "stop" rather than automatically yelling it at the top of your lungs and giving away your location. In addition, when slow-crawling with walk activated, you can also remain zoomed in while moving.
Tip: you can use the display in the bottom right to tell if walk is activated. Your solder's silhouette will have a speed-blur type of effect when run is activated whereas with walk activated there is not a speed-blur effect.
3)Know your CEM meter
There is a red meter in the bottom right corner of your display. This is your Combat Effectiveness Meter or CEM. This meter shows how accurately your ability to hit your target at any given moment. This can vary on account of several factors. Learn how to maximize this reading and therefore be more accurate. Below is how you can improve your accuracy and have a higher CEM reading:
Shooting still is more accurate than shooting while moving
Using a scope or sights is more accurate than using the crosshair alone
Shooting crouched is more accurate than shooting while standing
Shooting prone (on your belly) is more accurate than shooting crouched
Shooting while not leaning is more accurate than shooting while leaning
Shooting in proximity to your squad leader is more accurate than shooting
without squad leader around
Shooting while not being shot at is more accurate than shooting while
being shot at
Shooting while healthy is more accurate than shooting while injured
Shooting with bipod enabled is more accurate than shooting without
Shooting with the weapon you started with is more accurate than shooting another gun you have picked up
The position which has the most accuracy is laying prone with scope and bipod activated while not being shot at and in proximity to your squad leader while not injured.
How to gain honor quickly
The fastest way to gain honor is play maps where each round is over quickly. Play maps where the mission includes a VIP character - SF Hospital, SF Hospital SE, SF Refinery, Dusk, etc. The mission on these maps is that one team escorts the VIP to safety while the ambush team tries to assassinate him. Usually what happens is someone inexperienced chooses to play the VIP character then gets killed quickly in the round by the rushing ambush team - thus ending the round, frequently within seconds. Remember, your honor goes down by violating the rules of engagement (ROE) if you frequently shoot teammates or civilians. It goes up by accomplishing objectives and frequently holding squad leader slots.
4)Be unpredictable
Don't go to the same place round after round. You are your own worst enemy then because you are helping the enemy. Rotate your paths and positions frequently so the enemy can't predict where you will be to ambush you.
Alternate rushing with camping. Be aware that if the enemy senses a pattern, he will likely attack your old position. Use this to ambush him from somewhere else! Allow yourself to be seen in the same place for 2 consecutive rounds then next round try a different place that can ambush an enemy who expects you to be in your "usual" spot.
Also, close any doors behind you to prevent enemies from following you silently to kill you. This also makes it less obvious anyone has been through the area to the enemy - they will not be expecting you to be there and will have their guard down when entering the area.
5)How to get better if you keep losing during Close Quarters Battles
Increase your mouse sensitivity to make your turning and aiming faster. Better yet, get a gaming mouse with a button that can adjust this on the fly, like the Creative Fatal1ty series of mice. Increasing mouse sensitivity will improve Close Quarters Battle performance at the expense of long range sniping performance. Remember to avoid crouching because it makes you move slower. Move fast and keep moving constantly. Speed = life. Practice circle-strafing - moving in a circle around a target while keeping the crosshairs on that target. Also remember the rule SSFF for engaging the enemy - Spot, Shoot, Frag, Flank (in that order) until the enemy is dead.
Go under your training menu and keep practicing the Shoothouse training map using single shot mode. Make sure you use all your flashbangs when clearing the rooms - open the doors and immediately throw them in, they make the targets stay longer and improve your score. Keep trying to get a better score...
6)Shoot in short bursts when firing an automatic weapon
When shooting in automatic mode, shoot in short bursts - 3 to 4 bullets - to maximize accuracy and return the gun to center. Keep in mind recoil will make your gun rise and pull to your right. Adjust to counteract this effect when aiming by aiming slightly low and left. The longer your burst of bullets, the more off-target your shots become. For instance, aim low and left of the head and you may still get a headshot!
7)Know the map
America's Army is a game where it is advantageous to "specialize" in a few maps rather than play them all equally. Maps can vary in size and how much close quarters combat is involved. The objective of some maps may be to photograph objectives while in others the objective may be to protect a wounded VIP character and escort him to a safe zone while the other team must try to assasinate him.
Make it a point to learn each map you play on. Learn the hot zones. Learn how far you can sprint in the first 10 seconds, first 20 seconds, etc - newer maps have random spawn points but this still applies. Learn the areas of each map by name so when a teammate reports he is in "West Wing roof" or "North Supply Room" you know where he's at. Learn which locations can be seen from other locations. Observe players in spectate mode as they navigate the map. Learn which places can make you hard to be seen. Learn the locations of stairs and ladders - you can easily hear them being used with headphones. This will all come by playing and observing play on each map.
I have read that you have to play at least 100 hours on a map to become an expert on that map - that doesn't sound far off.
8)Use cover
Get in the habit of moving while always using cover. You can be shot from any direction so never be caught in the middle of an area with no cover. Take advantage of this - a stack of boxes or barrels or a parked vehicle might increase your chances of surviving if someone sees you and tries to shoot you. Remember, you can lean into cover as well to expose less of your body if you are under fire.
Find a place in your favorite map where there is cover from all sides and you will get a lot of kills!
9)Understand how your soldier appears to the enemy - use map areas as camoflauge
Americas Army is designed in such a way that your soldier appears as a scary terrorist to the opposing team - dark/black fatiques, usually a black mask over your head, no backpack, different appearance to weapons and bullet tracers. If the VIP character is available, he is the only character who will appear the same to both sides. Only your teammates appear as fellow US Army solders. This clever idea is so players never see US Army soldiers as "bad guys" to be killed - but rather US Army soldiers against terrorists.
If you find an area of the map that is graphically busy with a variety of darker colors, you may hide in plain sight - by using the area as a backdrop to hide your silhouette - there and the enemy will not be able to identify your shape and you can gain easy kills this way because the opponent will take time to try to figure out where your shots are coming from.
For example, on some maps where there is the VIP character available, you can hide him by going prone in gray concrete block rubble and dirt because he has grayish-hued colors and will blend in.
You can also use any wall that has a black explosion mark on it as camoflauge since you will appear mostly black to the other team. You can even sacrifice a grenade just to create this effect if needed.
10)Give your opponent a small target to shoot at
When your head and gun are the only thing visible to the enemy, they will have trouble hitting such small target from a distance. It is much harder to hit a prone opponent from a distance because he is such a small target. Remember, you can roll right or left if you need to move in a hurry while prone. Learn to use angles to create this advantage as well. You can also lean around corners instead of having your full body exposed.
TIP: You can crawl up to a curb and shoot over it without hardly exposing yourself.
Shoot from a position where you can see the enemy, but they can't see you
Learn to find places on a map where the enemy cannot see you from a distance but you can see them. You can crack a door enough to peek out, but from a distance the door looks closed - making you invisible. You can look out of window at a sharp angle to accomplish the same effect. In fact, make it a point to experiment with angles in general - you will be much better for it. Boxes or barrels stacked so there is a small gap between them can hide you from a distance. You can use vehicles as cover and shoot through the cabin when its windows are broken. In essence "snipe through a keyhole".
11)Bring the big guns to close quarters combat
If you stick to close quarters combat as your playing style - and you are always on the move - choose the slot with the RPK or SAW guns. These powerful guns have a much higher firing rate as well as the ability to hold many times more bullets per clip. Remember to shoot in bursts for maximum control. They still have the ability to be deadly accurate when shooting with the sights up over a distance. For close up fighting, you will have the advantage for those with AK74's or M4's as you will still be shooting while they are out of bullets and have to reload - if they survive longer than a second or two.
NOTE: the RPK and SAW shoot lit-up tracers every few bullets so teammates can see where you are firing and can join in firing on the enemy position.
12)Communicate with teammates frequently
Report your position often by using the report position button. This helps prevent friendly fire kills by your teammates. Report the position of the enemy by the enemy spotted button and a red diamond will appear there on the Situation Awareness Indicator (SAI) map in the bottom left corner. You can get kills this way because when you engage an enemy, his reported position will cause your teammates to fire on him, making him forget about you. He will be much easier to pick off then because he is distracted by fire from multiple positions and may get sloppy.
Americas Army has a radio system of "voice over" spoken phrases that can be assigned to the keyboad. Your number pad works well for this as your other keyboard keys will most likely be reserved for the main controls. String these together to communicate. Phrases like:
Up
Down
North
South
East
West
Cover Me
Sniper!
Move out
Stop!
Smoke 'em
Enemy Spotted
Enemy Down
Area Secure
are especially handy to have assigned to specific keys. Example phrase: "smoke 'em/up/cover me/west/enemy spotted/east". Of course there always the "Grandma was slow, but she's old" phrase that squad leaders can enjoy. Use these to inform your team as you will need some help.
There is also the option of using voicechat, such as teamspeak or ventrilo. This makes for easier communication between teams, but just be sure not to cheat and inform teammates of opponents positions after you're dead - this is called "ghosting" or "dead man talking" and the game cannot regulate this cheat behavior because the voice chat connection is outside the game's control.
Try to see if teammates will want to form small 2-4 groups. If one is fired on, the others can take out the enemy opfor (opposing force). The toughest teams are ALWAYS the ones that stay in groups.
13)The optimal way to round corners
You can increase your chances of living if you round corners the optimal way. Instead of wall-hugging then rounding the corner, Make a large circular pattern - while facing the corner - around the corner to prevent an ambush. In other words, "circle-strafe" around corners. This is sometimes called "slicing the pie" and allows you to see the enemy without exposing your entire body.
TIP: When you KNOW there is an enemy around the corner or in a doorway, begin firing your automatic weapon (aka "prefiring") before you round it to insure the first hit before the enemy can hit you. In other words, start firing early as you round the corner into the enemy.
14)Lead your opponents when sniping
Get in the habit of shooting in front of (aka "leading") running opponents to take them down everytime. Remember, the first hit or two will slow them down to the point where they are barely moving because you move slower when shot/injured.
15)Use flashbang granades on multiple enemy clusters
If you sneak up on a cluster of enemies - say 2 or 3 - you will lose almost every time if you just start firing at them all. First, hurl a flashbang grenade by them, blinding them - you can then kill them all at your leisure while all they see is black.
Different Ways to use smoke grenades
Most of the time, you will have at least one smoke grenade at your disposal. There are a few different ways to use these. First, it can disguise movement. The advantage is the enemy can't see when you cross through it. The disadvantage is that the enemy can grenade the smoke cloud and have a good chance of killing you. Second, it can distract an enemy - throw it one way then run the other way after a few seconds. The enemy will be distracted by the smoke. Third, it can hide your footsteps and door sounds. The grenade lets off a loud hiss for a bit as smoke escapes - allowing you to move without being heard. The enemy will not hear you enter the area. Finally, you can use smoke to "place" yourself in a sweet spot where getting into the spot is hard without getting shot - when the smoke clears, you are in position.
16)Show respect
If someone kills you easy in this game, it is because they know more about the game than you or have been playing longer. Or they might just be better. Or they might just have a faster computer or faster internet connection speed. There are many factors that can rule out the other player's "impossible wins". Accusing players of cheating only makes you look like a sore loser. If you are sure a player is cheating, just leave and find a different server.
Be aware that if you have a laggy connection, you can empty a clip into someone's chest from 3 feet away and not kill them. Be aware that players can avoid getting hit by jumping around like a stupid rabbit. These factors make it appear as though the opponent should be dead, but in reality they are getting faster updates from the connection than you are. Be aware that sometimes 203 grenades don't kill someone right next to the explosion. I have lived through this many times, it doesn't mean I am cheating in any way - the game is not perfect.
