Thoughts From Between Heaven and Earth
by George M. Parler

It's 4AM and I stand beneath an immense star-lit sky above an ocean I cannot fathom. I strain to find the place on the horizon where the heavens and the Earth have chosen to greet.
I cannot count the drops of water beneath me that pool upon the Earth. Though the longer I stare into the night sky the more stars I see I cannot count them either. I cannot comprehend how far the night breeze has traveled to brush across my face whispering, He loves you.
I stand in silence understanding in my own wisdom that in the vastness of what I behold I am but a small thing. A grain of sand in the desert. A drop of rain in the sea. And yet . . . I am reminded.
~ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
~ What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? ~ Psalms 8:3-4 ~ (KJV)
~ Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
~ Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself. ~ Isaiah 44:23-24 (KJV)
~ Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
~ But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
~ Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. ~ Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. ~ Matthew 10:29-32 ~ (KJV)
So I stand quietly in awe of the magnitude of all I try to comprehend and yet by faith alone I am humbled in the revelation that a God that cannot be contained within the confines of the universe has chosen to live inside of me. I am the temple of God, a house that He built through His Son, Jesus. My Savior, my righteousness, my Lord. My name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life and praise God forevermore . . . He knows my Name.
