I can't count the number of times someone has joined the server and asked "Why are a bunch of Christians playing a killing game?!". Or "Why can't I say 'abcd'?"? "Why did <insert random person> get kicked for saying 'abcd'?" etc.
I generally try to direct people to the main website or forums, but I think it might be helpful to have some kind of FAQ directly linked to the main website page (www.Of-God.us) and integrated into the forums to specifically address some of the top questions. I think most of the answers are already here and we have plenty of people capable of fielding questions but if our main page or forums are the front end of a seeker's walk it would be cool to tackle some of their questions on their first visit.
I can volunteer to help but can't do everything as I am not as learned as most others here. We could gratuitously link to other sources for apologetics information.
Is this a good idea? Has it been attempted before? Do we think it would really see any use?
Dave

I think that would be good as well and Peace, I would definitely be able to help with it as far as assembling the post, don't want to add to your work Some of those questions, like why are you guys playing a game with killing don't really seem worth answering to me cause usually they're not real questions but meant to get us riled up.

Isn't it in our scroller that they can find/get an explanation of our rules on our forum.
And like you said, why we play a killing game. It's just a game. There are christians in every real army. You never hear people "complain" about that, do you?

I would like an official answer to this question so I know how to deal with the 2-3 times per day I get asked this.

One guy asked us it, and I responded by. "Its just a game. Harmless fun" and he responded with "You think its just a game?!". I didnt bother to respond...

(You know the old saying: "When you throw a stone into a pack of dogs, the one that yelps is the one that got hit!") It's true, I spend a lot of my spare time with either -=Of-God=- Clan stuff or AASA stuff (like, about 80-90% 4 days a week, 50-65% on the 3 days that Princess and I have our regular "date nights") -- but I only spend about 2-3% (if that much) of my spare time actually playing AA; most of the time, I'm doing stuff to make things better for everyone else to play. But that's okay, because this stuff is fun for me also!

At first I got used to Jeffs Alt account names. I could reconize some of them just by the name. Then I lost track of them completely. But I bet he already knew that!

He's pretty sneaky, that Peace. Sometimes he may have an old name, sometimes he uses my name and sometimes he may even come up with something totally wierd. He'll be driving along and something will pop into his head or I'll say something and he'll say "That's going to be my new name on one of my accounts." Anyway as he said he does spend a lot of time making the servers run smoothly and he holds to the saying that "It is just a game." And if you need more to say to anyone just remind them how many Christians have fought in wars in times past. (Civil wars, World Wars, Vietnam, Operation Desert Storn, the current war in Iraq, and wars in the Bible) Sometimes you have to fight for what you believe and for the freedom to believe it. I think AA is also a good recruiting tool to bring out a few good soldiers and we need more Christians in our military so we don't lose sight of what we are fighting for.
