I just want to thank you all for being a shining light of Christ to AAO:SF players. What you stand for is exceptional and it is great to see you are being a strong presence for the King of Kings. Keep it up and nothing formed against you shall prosper. As a dedicated Christian it is a joy to see a group of guys and/or gals not afraid to show their faith.
I have been a Christian for over 20 years and it has been a wild ride and a good fight. Trust me, I have had my weeks, months, and years in the desert but God is faithful.
A bond servant to Christ...

welcome to the forums and thank you for your kind words. please feel free to browse around and get involved where you will. we take a lot of abuse on public servers so it is nice to see people come here with good things to say.

Yes, thank you. It is nice to hear from someone who has something positive to say. Since joining the clan, many servers I frequented previously now unceremoniously will kick me because of my clan tag. Most never give an explanation, but those who do before the kick generally do in incomplete sentences peppered with profanity for the sake of profanity. I origianlly came to this server by pure luck, and found an envrionment of positive game play. Players were not talked down to, were told when they did something positive, and other players(clan and non-clan) were always willing to lend a hand or answer any question I had. I don't visit those servers anymore, and play almost exclusively here because of the positive environment the OG servers provide. The only time I hear anyone called a noob here is when Punisher declares himslef to be one . This is my long overdue thanks to all you guys.

I totally agree with you Forge, I get really tired of all the whining going on in a lot of the servers and the hostile environment in which we all have to endure just to play. I have been on and enjoy servers such as the OG servers and it is a wonderful experience, thank you all for making the game that much better to play. As Apostle Paul said count it all joy to be persecuted because of our Savior Jesus Christ. If players feel threatened by the very presence of player willing to be bold and hold true to their beliefs then so be it. A born again n00b... Thank you all, Dread(Jim)

Welcome to the forum, Doc -- feel free to hang out here (and in our servers) as much as you like. BTW, I appreciated your testimony -- glad to hear that you finally surrendered to His call to return.
You mentioned your first assignment in NY -- was that Fort Drum? I live a couple of hours south of there -- nice area, except at this time of year! ;D

Peace-=Of-God=-, why yes it was...and you are not kidding about the weather. I spent 2 years there 89-92. My wife and I travelled all over the Northern part of New York. So, do you live anywhere close to Ithica or Rome? I loved the time we had up there as far as the environment. Really beautiful..

We lived in Rome for about three years, helping my brother-in-law start a Bible institute at a church there. After that, we moved further south (about half-way to Binghamton), but I still work just outside Utica, for a credit union headquartered in Rome. (It used to be Up State FCU -- I don't know if we had the Fort Drum branch when you were there, but we've got a strong presence there nowadays -- except that it's now AmeriCU Credit Union).

I have been over to Binghamton area. During the big Ice storm they had back in 90-91 we lost power in the family housing (Philidephia) so my wife and I took off down south and drive around for the better part of a day. At least the car had a heater . I used to fly into Rome AFB all the time when I was stationed there. They got pretty touchy about their B-52s back then. I was a Blackhawk helicopter crewchief for 5 years in the Army so I got to see alot of the area from the sky.
