This guy gives ya a way to multiple examples for changes to the services in your windows environment. You know that stuff that is in your services.msc file that is quite confusing.

Well I'm glad that you have a way to make XP more bearable, I didn't know that you could get rid of the numerous worthless features the XP offers at all. Unfortunately, probably most XP users will still have a lot of trouble figuring it out.
But, uh, what does that have to do with AA? It doesn't seem particularly "Inside the Game" to me...

Ahh, but it is, young grasshopper. BlackViper's tweaks (which I've been utilizing for nearly two years) are unrivaled in making the Windows computer run better and faster -- which means that the AA game works better and faster also! Optimizing your computer's processing power is the best (and cheapest!) way to improve your AA gaming experience -- so yes, this is a valid board for a link to this site. ;D

Whatever you say, Jeff! As all long-term clan members say, the clan leader is always right.

Ok, does it really matter though when I have 1GB of RAM? Or does it still help?

Helps me, but I do forum stuff, tracker, XFire, e-mail, etc whilst gaming...Any little bit helps, besides my computer runs noticeably quicker and boots tremendously quicker now...

Ernie, did you do the Safe, Power User or Bare Bones Configuration? I want to try this, but I don't want to mess my computer up.

Safe for me, but I've got a network here. What you can do is go to your system in your control panel, hardware tab, then copy that configuration. Now go ahead and make changes, with the full confidence that you have the originals saved.
EDIT: Copy is a button choice, so no real knowledge needed there thankfully

LOL, I fiddled around with some of the stuff it said on Windows (because I've been forced to run 2.4 on Windows, uhg!), and I completely messed it up so it won't boot right. Oh well, I may have to reinstall Windows, but that's ok since I have almost no programs on it besides AA. It's my own fault for being sloppy, I guess I don't take the Windows hacking as seriously as should.
